It is no surprise that scammers are getting bolder and craftier these days trying to steal personal information.  This report speaks of a document entitled, "Notice of Remedy and Settlment of Class Action" that was sent via email and US Postal Service this week which was "designed to entice victims into providing their Social Security numbers, bank account information or other sensitive materials to what they believe is a trustworthy source".

"Consumers who believe they have been cheated or scammed by a business, or suspect any other form of marketplace abuse, can file a complaint with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs by visiting its website at www.njconsumeraffairs.gov or by calling the DCA Consumer Service Center Hotline numbers."

Be safe!
